At ‘The Green Man’ we would like to offer you a good home style meal everyday of the week. Our ‘all day’ menu will always consist of familiar English classic dishes. We go to great lengths to ensure that all our produce is locally sourced where possible and always fresh and of the highest quality. We will also be running a specials board which will offer diners the opportunity to enjoy a very select and limited range of ingredients that will be sourced from the surrounding area. Produce will be in limited supply. We will therefore be changing our specials board content very frequently. Produce will be gathered from local farms from local people such as Jeff Kinder, Brian Hunt, Des Allen, Mr Taylor, and our own game keeper Steve Howells.
It is very fashionable to use words like ‘locally sourced’, and many restaurants and pubs use these kinds of slogan lightly.
However this is our philosophy. We want to use the freshest, and where possible most local produce we can, that has passed through as few channels as possible. In most cases from farmer to chef to plate. From nature to plate.
We will also offer a traditional Sunday roast of the highest quality every week.
